About LongHorn Steakhouse Restaurant
In 1981, George McKerrow Jr. and his best friend Brian opened the Longhorn Steakhouse. They chose Atlanta for their first location because it was home to many restaurants, including Hardee’s and Burger King. Before the renovation, the restaurant was an adult bookstore; when it opened as a steakhouse in 1981, it used to be called the Longhorn Saloon and Steakhouse.
